Cheetahmen II remains a mysterious artifact in gaming history, never fully realized or officially launched. In a surprising turn of events, 1,500 copies surfaced in a warehouse in 1996, leading to their eventual sale on the secondary market. These rare cartridges, originally from Action 52, feature a simple gold sticker identifying them as Cheetahmen II. Players take control of one of the trio of Cheetahmen—Aries, Apollo, or Hercules—transitioning between characters after conquering bosses, mirroring the gameplay of their predecessor. However, a notable bug prevents access to levels featuring Cheetahman Aries without tinkering with the ROM or encountering an elusive glitch. While physical copies are scarce, numerous ROM images are readily available online, preserving the legacy of this intriguing title.
