Audiosurf is a rhythm-puzzle game where you race down a generated track that syncs to songs from your own music library. Pick any DRM-free audio file or CD, and the game builds a course—tempo shifts create hills, intensity changes the speed, quiet sections slow things down. You steer across three lanes collecting colored blocks that appear in time with the music, matching them to clear rows and score points. Different character types change the ruleset: some let you rearrange blocks, others lock you into tighter matching requirements. The Orange Box soundtrack comes bundled. It's less about musical skill and more about pattern recognition under pressure, turning any track you own into a playable level.
