Bad North
Bad North is a real-time tactics roguelite where you defend a chain of small islands from waves of viking raiders. You command squads of soldiers—archers, infantry, pikemen—positioning them on procedurally generated terrain to repel attacks. Each island offers gold and recruits if you hold it, but losing a squad means they're gone for good. The minimalist art style keeps battles readable: you're watching unit formations clash on tiny hillsides and beaches, deciding when to reposition before your line breaks. Between islands you upgrade troops and pick your next destination, knowing tougher fights yield better rewards. Permadeath stakes make each tactical call matter. It's compact, tense, and built for short runs that don't overstay their welcome.
