Bard's Gold

Bard's Gold is a 2D platformer where you hunt for a key in each level, then reach the exit door. It's deliberately paced—no dash button, no speed runs. The game doesn't explain its mechanics. You'll die figuring out how enemies behave, what pickups do, or which platforms crumble. Each level pulls from a pool of pre-made layouts, so runs feel familiar but never identical. Gems you collect fund permanent upgrades on the death screen: more health, better jumps, stronger attacks. Progress is incremental. You're chasing a goblin who stole your family heirloom through a portal into hostile territory. The retro pixel aesthetic and methodical movement suit players who liked NES-era trial-and-error design.
