About

Battle Realms is a real-time strategy game where you build a peasant village into a trained warrior clan. You pick one of four Asian-inspired factions—Dragon, Serpent, Wolf, or Lotus—each with distinct units and philosophies. The core mechanic is Unit Alchemy: peasants train at specific buildings to become hybrid fighters. Send a peasant through the archery range then the alchemist's hut, you get a different unit than if you'd sent them to the dojo first. This creates samurai cannoneers, bandits, geisha assassins, and other specialized troops. Campaigns follow Kenji's return from exile and a prequel about a Wolf clan uprising. Resource gathering fuels your village, but unit customization through building paths is the hook. Battles lean on positioning and counters rather than raw numbers. It's for players who want their RTS decisions to shape army composition, not just build order.
