Battle Realms is a real-time strategy game where you build a peasant village into a trained warrior clan. You pick one of four Asian-inspired factions—Dragon, Serpent, Wolf, or Lotus—each with distinct units and philosophies. The core mechanic is Unit Alchemy: peasants train at specific buildings to become hybrid fighters. Send a peasant through the archery range then the alchemist's hut, you get a different unit than if you'd sent them to the dojo first. This creates samurai cannoneers, bandits, geisha assassins, and other specialized troops. Campaigns follow Kenji's return from exile and a prequel about a Wolf clan uprising.
