Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing

Big Rigs is a 2003 racing game where you drive a semi-trailer truck. The setup promises illegal cargo runs while dodging police, but none of that exists in the actual game. There's no cargo to haul, no cops chasing you, and no real objectives. Your AI opponents either sit motionless at the start line or stop dead before crossing the finish. Collision detection doesn't work—you phase through buildings, trees, and terrain boundaries. You can drive backward at infinite speed or leave the map entirely. Physics behave unpredictably. The game shipped with fundamental systems either broken or absent. It's become a cautionary example of what happens when a racing game releases without functional racing mechanics or quality control.
