Broken Sword 5: The Serpent's Curse
Point-and-click adventure where you investigate an art heist turned murder. After a masked thief steals a painting and kills a gallery owner in Paris, you alternate control between insurance investigator George Stobbart and journalist Nico Collard as they chase leads across Europe. Right-click examines objects, left-click interacts—standard inventory puzzles dominate (combine items, use them on hotspots to progress). Some sequences zoom into logic puzzles like rewiring an engine to fix a car horn. Conversations unlock information from NPCs, including returning characters from earlier games. Hand-drawn 2D backgrounds with modeled characters, higher resolution than the series' 90s entries. The conspiracy eventually ties to Gnostic Gospels, though the investigation unfolds location by location. Built-in hint system if you're stuck. Methodical puzzle-solving over action.
