BurgerTime is a 1982 arcade platformer where you play chef Peter Pepper, tasked with assembling hamburgers by walking across their ingredients—buns, patties, lettuce, tomatoes—arranged on platforms throughout a maze. As you step on each piece, it drops one level closer to completion. Enemies chase you constantly, forcing quick decisions about when to finish a burger layer or flee. You can stun pursuers temporarily by dropping ingredients on them or using limited pepper shakes. The game loops through increasingly difficult stages with faster enemies and tighter layouts. It's pure arcade reflex testing with a goofy premise that somehow works. If you like old-school single-screen action where memorizing patterns matters as much as quick thumbs, this delivers exactly that.
