Castle Crashers

Castle Crashers is a side-scrolling beat-'em-up with RPG progression for up to four players. You pick a knight and fight through levels using melee combos, magic attacks, and unlockable weapons. Each character levels up independently, gaining stat points you allocate to strength, magic, defense, or agility. The art style uses hand-drawn 2D animation with exaggerated proportions and bright colors. Combat leans into crowd control—you'll regularly face dozens of enemies at once, juggling them with launchers and area-of-effect spells. Between stages you can visit shops, play minigames, and rescue princesses who become support characters. Works solo but designed around chaotic co-op where friendly fire is always on.
