Codenames is a word-association party game where two teams race to identify their agents hidden among 25 codenames on a grid. One player per team acts as spymaster, giving single-word clues that connect multiple words their teammates must guess. A clue like "ocean: 2" might point to WAVE and SHARK. Teammates debate which words fit, trying to avoid the opposing team's agents and especially the assassin tile that ends the game instantly. Rounds move quickly as spymasters craft clever links and guessers second-guess interpretations. The digital version adapts the tabletop original's core loop—no dice, no cards to shuffle, just deduction under pressure. Works well for groups who enjoy lateral thinking puzzles and don't mind occasional miscommunication turning a sure win into disaster.
