A 3D fighter built around teleport-heavy combos, aerial juggles, and flight mechanics pulled from the anime's combat style. You pick from the DBZ roster and work through a story mode called Dragon Universe—essentially a board game map where you move across Earth or Namek, collect capsules and Dragon Balls, and trigger fights tied to the show's four main sagas. Completing specific tasks unlocks characters (beat Dr. Gero with Yamcha, get Dr. Gero). The hook: replaying story mode with the same character changes events. Goku might face Cooler instead of Frieza, or fight Broly after the Buu arc depending on your choices. Eleven playable characters in story mode, 40 total unlockables across all modes. You can also upload and download character builds online. The branching story setup gives it more legs than earlier Budokai entries.
