About
A 2D fighting game built around the Cell Saga from Dragon Ball Z, plus story beats pulled from the anime films—a rare move for the franchise at the time. You pick characters from that era and fight through one-on-one battles using punches, ki blasts, and special moves tied to each fighter. The roster spans heroes and villains active during Cell's tournament arc. Matches play out on side-scrolling stages with health bars and super meters. It's straightforward arcade-style combat: no complex systems, just timing and pattern recognition. France got a localized release in '93, but North America didn't see it until 2015 as a pre-order bonus for a different Dragon Ball game—and even then, it stayed in Japanese with no translation.
