Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku II
Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku II debuted on June 17, 2003, continuing the epic saga from its predecessor and wrapping up the thrilling Cell Games, where Gohan triumphs over the formidable android Cell. This sequel introduced transformative mechanics, enabling characters to temporarily boost their strength while managing their energy reserves. Players encountered innovative features such as the scouter, revealing character stats and essential background details, along with the ability to execute charged melee attacks for devastating effects. Essential to gameplay, capsules scattered throughout the environment enhanced character abilities, offering strategic depth. Interestingly, despite its title, Goku is not the primary focus, allowing for exploration of a broader roster of characters. Following its success, an international edition was launched in Japan on July 23, 2004, featuring refreshed character profiles and returning names to their original Japanese versions, though Mister Satan amusingly retained his English moniker on his parade float.
