Dragon Blaze is a vertical scrolling shoot 'em up where you pilot through waves of enemies in arcade-style stages. You control a dragon rider who can dismount mid-flight, letting you switch between mounted attacks and on-foot combat. The dragon acts as both your primary weapon platform and a deployable ally—send it out to strike independently while you dodge incoming fire on foot, or ride it for concentrated firepower. Stage progression follows classic arcade structure: clear enemy formations, face mid-bosses, and survive bullet patterns to reach end-level encounters. The dismount mechanic adds a risk-reward layer to moment-to-moment decisions during intense firefights. Originally an arcade release, it later appeared on PlayStation 2 in compilation form and as a standalone title.
