Driver: Parallel Lines is an open-world driving game set entirely in New York City across two time periods: 1978 and 2006. You play as T.K., a wheelman who starts running jobs for local criminals—deliveries, getaways, the usual underworld errands. The story splits when a heist goes sideways and you're framed, jumping forward 28 years to 2006 for the second half. Gameplay centers on driving missions with shooting segments during certain jobs. You'll steal cars, customize them at garages, and navigate Manhattan's streets in era-appropriate vehicles. The 1978 section features muscle cars and disco-era aesthetics; 2006 brings modern rides and updated visuals of the same city blocks. Unlike earlier Driver entries that hopped between cities, this one sticks to New York but uses the time jump to essentially give you two versions of it. Works if you want arcade driving with a revenge plot framework.
