Dungeon Defenders blends tower defense with action-RPG combat. You pick one of four classes and defend Etheria's crystals against waves of enemies by placing defensive structures, then jumping into the fray yourself to fight directly. Between waves, you'll level your character, equip loot drops, and upgrade gear. The game offers multiple difficulty tiers and survival modes that ramp up enemy counts and complexity. You can tackle missions solo or team up with three others in online or local splitscreen co-op, coordinating trap placement and combat roles. There's also a PvP deathmatch mode if you want to fight other players instead of monsters. The setup: young apprentices accidentally release an ancient evil while their mentors are away. Expect repeated defense scenarios with incremental character progression.
