F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin is a first-person shooter mixing gunfights with supernatural horror. You're Delta Force operator Michael Becket, deployed to arrest a corporate executive just before the first game's finale spirals out of control. The slow-motion reflex mode returns, letting you dodge and pick off enemies while time crawls. AI-controlled soldiers flank and coordinate, forcing you to reposition constantly. You can grab objects for movable cover, pilot combat mechs in certain sequences, and aim down iron sights for precision shots. Levels branch more than the original's corridors, offering alternate routes through offices, streets, and industrial zones. Expect hostile soldiers, paranormal threats, and environmental storytelling about what Armacham was really doing. The pacing alternates between tense firefights and dread-soaked quiet.
