Final Fight

Final Fight is a side-scrolling beat-'em-up where you pick one of three fighters—ex-wrestler mayor Haggar, his daughter's boyfriend Cody, or Cody's friend Guy—and punch through Metro City's Mad Gear gang to rescue Jessica. Each character has distinct stats and moves. You've got an eight-way stick and two buttons: attack and jump. Mash attack for combos, time the stick flick to turn the finisher into a throw, or burn health for a crowd-clearing special. Walk into enemies to grab them, then pummel or toss them at others. Weapons like pipes appear but break after a few swings. Six rounds take you through slums, subways, and other Metro City districts, each ending with a unique boss. Two-player co-op supported.
