About

Fishing Derby is a two-player arcade fishing sim where anglers compete from opposite docks to reach 99 pounds of fish first. You control your line with a joystick, maneuvering it through the water to hook fish of varying sizes—2-pounders near the surface or riskier 6-pounders deeper down. Once hooked, fish rise slowly unless you tap the fire button to reel faster. If both players hook fish simultaneously, only one can land theirs, forcing quick decisions about when to commit. A shark patrols the lake, adding another layer of timing to your drops. The weight-based scoring creates a push-your-luck dynamic: go shallow for safe points or dive deep for bigger hauls. You can face a friend or play solo against the clock.
