Genshin Impact is an open-world action RPG where you control a traveler searching for their missing sibling across Teyvat, a continent divided into distinct nations, each tied to an elemental god. You'll swap between characters in real-time combat, combining elemental abilities—freeze enemies with ice then shatter them with a hammer strike, or electrify water to chain damage. Exploration rewards curiosity: climb cliffs, glide across valleys, solve environmental puzzles for chests. The game adds new regions periodically, from ruins of advanced civilizations to cherry blossom-filled islands. You build a roster through a gacha system, unlocking characters with different weapon types and elemental affinities. Co-op lets up to four players tackle domains (instanced challenges) together.
