Girls' Frontline is a tactical RPG where you command android soldiers called T-Dolls, each modeled after a real firearm. As a newly recruited commander in 2060's war-torn world, you deploy squads (echelons) across grid-based maps dotted with enemy units, supply nodes, and capture points. Combat blends turn-based positioning with real-time skirmishes—battles auto-resolve, but you can trigger special abilities, reposition units mid-fight, or pull squads out to save resources. Progression happens through story missions, logistics runs, and training drills that level your roster. Gacha mechanics govern T-Doll acquisition, equipment crafting, and cosmetic drops for dorm furniture and character outfits. You'll decorate barracks, feed chibi versions of your units, and gift costumes to raise affection stats that boost performance. Affection drops when T-Dolls fall in non-boss fights. Fans of collection-driven strategy with anime aesthetics will find plenty to micromanage.
