

Rogue-lite hack-and-slash where you play Zagreus, son of Hades, fighting through the Greek underworld to reach the surface. Each escape attempt sends you through procedurally shifting chambers packed with mythological enemies—Furies, bone hydras, shades of the dead. When you die, you restart at the House of Hades, but story progress and character relationships persist between runs. Combat revolves around chaining melee strikes with god-given boons: Zeus might add chain lightning to your dash, Aphrodite could make enemies weaker when struck. You'll unlock new weapons (sword, spear, bow, fists) and permanent upgrades using currencies earned in failed runs. The roster of gods, shades, and underworld figures grows as you push deeper, each offering dialogue that builds out Zagreus's family drama and the politics of death itself.
