Interstate '82

Vehicular combat game set in 1982 where you play as Taurus searching for missing associate Groove Champion across 40+ missions. You drive cars equipped with roof-mounted machine guns and other weapons, engaging in shootouts on wheels. The handling model includes suspension physics and fishtail dynamics. Unlike pure driving combat games, you can exit your vehicle mid-mission to carjack other rides or take cover on foot. Missions involve tracking down leads while fighting rival auto-terrorists. The setting leans into early-'80s aesthetics during a fictional U.S. crisis period. Works for players who want arcade action with some simulation-style driving feel and the tactical option to bail when your current car's toast.
