Jak II is an open-world platformer blending action-adventure and third-person shooting. After activating a Precursor device, Jak and his crew are flung through a dimensional rift into Haven City—a militarized dystopia ruled by Baron Praxis. Jak is captured and spends two years as a test subject in a dark eco super-soldier program. When his friend Daxter finally breaks him out, Jak can now transform into a feral alter ego fueled by that same energy. The game splits between story missions advancing Jak's revenge plot and freeform exploration of the sprawling city. You'll pilot hovercraft vehicles, complete jobs for underground factions, and toggle between standard platforming and your rage-mode powers during combat. Expect tougher difficulty than the original—checkpoints are sparse and enemy patrols don't mess around.
