Kingdom Under Fire: The Crusaders is a tactical wargame that mixes real-time strategy with third-person hack-and-slash combat. You command entire battalions on the battlefield while also directly controlling hero units in melee. During battles, you'll position troops, issue formation orders, then dive into the fray yourself to cut through enemy lines. The game continues the storyline from its 2001 predecessor but shifts the gameplay structure—less pure strategy, more hands-on action. Between missions, you upgrade units and heroes through RPG-style progression systems. Phantagram built this exclusively for Xbox, and it's aimed squarely at players who want both the macro view of a commander and the visceral payoff of swinging a sword themselves.
