A brick-built action-adventure following Bilbo, Gandalf, and thirteen dwarves on their quest to retake a mountain stronghold. You'll switch between characters—each dwarf has distinct abilities you'll need for environmental puzzles (one might hurl axes, another squeeze through tight gaps). Combat pits you against trolls and orcs in the series' typical brawler style, smashing enemies and objects into studs. Exploration spans multiple Middle-earth locations, from pastoral villages to underground goblin warrens. The game adapts the first two Hobbit films, mixing story beats with the usual LEGO humor—expect slapstick cutscenes and visual gags. Puzzles often require combining specific dwarves' skills, sometimes in ways the story didn't intend. Co-op lets a second player drop in locally. If you've played other LEGO titles, the structure's familiar: progress through chapters, revisit areas in free play to collect missed items.
