Mad Dog McCree
Mad Dog McCree is a live-action shooting gallery where you face full-motion video footage of actors in Old West costumes. The outlaw Mad Dog has kidnapped the mayor and his daughter, so you're pointing a light gun at the screen to shoot bandits in a saloon, fend off a bank robbery, and duel gunslingers in dusty streets. Each scenario plays out as a video clip—enemies pop up, you aim and fire, hit or miss determines whether the footage branches to your death or continues. It's an arcade original built around that FMV novelty: real actors hamming it up, quick-draw timing, and branching paths that change based on your accuracy. Expect campy performances, limited interactivity beyond shooting, and the specific rhythm of reacting to pre-recorded cues. If you've got nostalgia for early '90s arcade cabinets or curiosity about FMV's awkward phase, this is patient zero.
