You steer by tapping left or right to drift through corners, collect item boxes for shells and bananas, and trigger Frenzy mode when you grab three of the same power-up—unleashing a brief window where you can spam that item repeatedly. The game focuses on collecting different driver/kart/glider combinations, each with stat variations and course bonuses. Challenges ask you to hit specific targets (land five hits with a green shell, finish with a certain character) rather than just winning races.
