Arcade baseball with Nintendo characters, built around quick matches and special moves. Exhibition lets you tweak innings, toggle captain star powers (unique swings and pitches per character), and turn error items on or off—items you chuck at fielders mid-play. Challenge mode ditches team selection for a map-based quest: you wander overhead areas themed to different captains, recruiting teammates by completing objectives rather than winning games. Each captain has an ability to hunt down coins and allies; coins buy items for your matches against Bowser Jr. and Bowser. Minigames top up your wallet. Toy Field reverses the usual structure—you bat for points, and whoever holds the ball longest gets the next turn. Fielders can now tackle each other to steal possession, and batters hurl items to knock the ball loose. Straightforward if you want arcade sports without simulation depth.
