Side-scrolling action platformer where you defeat eight Robot Masters in any order, absorbing their signature weapons after each victory. Dr. Wily's modified robots attack with patterns you'll need to learn through trial and error. Between stages, you'll spend bolts on items like extra lives or E-tanks. Hand-drawn 2.5D art replaces the pixel sprites of earlier entries. Expect tight corridors, spike pits, and bosses with exploitable weaknesses once you've got the right stolen weapon. It's structured around replaying stages to test new gear combinations.
