About

Shift is a track racer built around cockpit-view intensity and handling physics that punish mistakes. You're locked into first-person perspective for most events, watching the wheel wrench in your hands as tires hunt for grip through corners. The game models weight transfer, surface changes, and collisions with enough fidelity that clipping a curb at speed genuinely upsets the car. Career mode progresses through tiered events using licensed production and race-spec vehicles on real circuits. Crashes trigger a helmet-cam effect where your view shakes and blurs on impact. It's less forgiving than arcade racers but stops short of full sim—assists are available, but the default tuning expects you to brake early and manage throttle through exits. Works for players wanting consequence without needing a wheel setup.
