Othello
A digital version of the classic reversi board game where two players compete on an 8x8 grid using black and white discs. You place discs to sandwich your opponent's pieces, flipping them to your color. Each turn requires planning several moves ahead—one poorly placed disc can hand your opponent a decisive advantage. The grid fills quickly, and controlling corners becomes crucial since those positions can't be flipped. Matches typically last 10-15 minutes as the board state shifts dramatically with each placement. The ruleset is straightforward: legal moves must flip at least one opposing disc by trapping it between your pieces horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. Victory goes to whoever controls more discs when the board fills completely. It's pure tactical calculation with no luck involved.
