Paws is a single-player platformer where you guide a cub separated from its family across varied terrain. You'll jump, climb, and navigate environmental obstacles while searching for your lynx mother. The game presents puzzles that require observing your surroundings and using the cub's abilities to progress—pushing objects, timing jumps, and finding safe paths forward. Along the way, you meet other animals, some helpful, others indifferent to your plight. The world shifts between forests, mountains, and human-touched areas, each presenting different hazards. Your cub's small size means you're vulnerable, and survival depends on avoiding predators and harsh conditions. The art style uses painterly textures and a muted palette. There's no dialogue, just ambient sound and the cub's movements to convey the story. It's a quieter game focused on atmosphere and the bond between parent and offspring, rather than combat or complex mechanics.
