About
Pulseman is a side-scrolling platformer where you control a digital lifeform who can dash through enemies and environments using electric charge. You build up voltage by running, then release it as a high-speed attack that lets you ricochet off walls and foes. The game mixes standard jumping with this charge-dash mechanic—timing when to store energy versus when to blitz forward is central to progression. Levels blend cyberspace aesthetics with real-world locations. Originally a Japan-only cartridge release, it reached North America through the Sega Channel service but never launched in Europe. Game Freak developed it before shifting focus to a certain monster-collecting franchise.
