Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction

Third-person platformer-shooter where you play as Ratchet, a Lombax mechanic, and his robot sidekick Clank fleeing across planets after Emperor Tachyon attacks their home. You'll hop between alien worlds, using a rotating arsenal of sci-fi weapons—everything from standard blasters to absurd gadgets. Combat mixes run-and-gun shooting with light platforming: double-jumps, grinds along rails, and environmental puzzles that often require swapping between the duo's abilities. The weapon upgrade system lets you level guns through use, unlocking new fire modes. Expect linear levels with collectible hunts for bolts (currency) and hidden armor pieces. It's colorful, doesn't take itself seriously, and leans on cartoon physics. Good fit if you want action that's breezy rather than punishing, with enough weapon variety to keep firefights from feeling samey.
