RF Online is a Korean MMORPG built around three-way faction warfare. You pick one of three races—each blending sci-fi tech with fantasy tropes—and fight for territorial control in massive PvP events called Chip Wars. These battles pit all three sides against each other simultaneously, not just two teams. The game mixes laser rifles and mechs with magic and melee combat. It launched as subscription-based but shifted to free-to-play in 2007, adding a cash shop for cosmetic and convenience items.
