Shinigami Hime to Ishokan no Kaibutsu
Adventure game about Mono, a girl trying to save her sister from Shinigami Disease—an illness that transforms victims into picture books, then monsters. Mono explores Ishokan, a medical isolation facility, alongside Melhendia, a goat-like creature with its own agenda against humans. Gameplay involves navigating monster-filled halls and entering the picture book worlds created by infected patients. The story centers on Mono's contract with Melhendia: she needs protection to reach her sister, while Melhendia seeks revenge on humanity. Each infected girl has become a different creature, and their trauma manifests as explorable worlds within their picture book forms. The narrative focuses on forming connections between Mono, the manipulative Melhendia, and the transformed patients she encounters. Expect themes of family bonds, desperation, and uneasy alliances in a setting where a national epidemic has no known cure.
