Sin and Punishment is a rail shooter where you fight mutant creatures called Ruffians—originally engineered as food sources—that have turned hostile. You play as a resistance fighter battling these bio-genetic monsters and military units across environments spanning ground, water, and air. The game uses an on-rails structure where movement is restricted to dodging while you aim and fire at waves of enemies. You collect energy and time bonuses, chain attacks into combos for extra continues, and face large-scale boss encounters. A co-op mode lets a second player control aiming while player one handles movement. Originally a Japan-exclusive Nintendo 64 title from developer Treasure, it's built around sustained shooting action with scoring systems that reward aggressive play.
