Skate 2 is a skateboarding sim set in New San Vanelona, a city rebuilding after an unnamed disaster. A corporation now controls most spots, limiting where you can skate. You're returning after five years to rebuild your career and revive the local scene. The core loop involves finding skateable terrain, landing tricks, and progressively unlocking areas. You can now hop off your board to reposition objects—benches, rails, ramps—letting you engineer custom lines instead of skating what's given. A crew of locals assists with certain tasks. The trick system expands on the original's stick-based controls, doubling available moves. It's about reclaiming urban space through creativity and persistence, spot by spot.
