SSX Tricky is an arcade snowboarding game where you race down mountain courses while pulling off over-the-top tricks. You'll grind rails, launch off massive jumps, and chain together combos to fill a boost meter that lets you hit even higher speeds. The game features fictional riders, each with unique stats and signature moves you unlock by landing specific trick sequences. Courses get progressively more absurd—collapsing ice bridges, shortcuts through tunnels, avalanches that alter the track mid-run. There's a trick-focused mode separate from racing if you want to focus purely on score. The presentation leans hard into early-2000s extreme sports culture, complete with licensed hip-hop and rock tracks. It's less simulation, more about momentum and spectacle.
