A side-scrolling platformer where you pick vegetables and throw them at enemies instead of stomping heads. Choose one of four characters—Mario, Luigi, Toad, or Princess Toadstool—each with different jump heights and lifting speeds that affect how you tackle levels. You're pulling turnips from the ground, riding on enemies' backs, and climbing vines through dreamlike stages to stop Wart. Each character plays differently enough that speedrunners still argue over optimal picks. Toad lifts fastest but jumps lowest; Luigi floats but moves slower. Levels hide warp zones and potion doors that reveal bonus coins in a shadow dimension. It's weird compared to the original, swapping precision jumps for vertical exploration and item-chucking combat. If you want Mario but not the one you expect, this delivers.
