Victory comes from launching rivals beyond stage boundaries, not landing a final blow. Matches include items and power-ups that shift momentum. The percentage system creates a tug-of-war: you might dominate early but one solid hit at 150% sends you flying. Rounds get chaotic fast with four players scrambling on platforms, grabbing hammers and bob-ombs while dodging attacks.
