Sword of Asumi is a stealth-action game set in an alternate Edo where samurai were never disbanded and Japan remained isolated. You play Asumi, an assassin from the Black Clan who's spent her life killing from the shadows. She's just been made a Justicar—basically law enforcement—and sent undercover into a samurai academy to identify a rebel before civil war breaks out. The twist: she has to operate in public view, blending in as a student rather than striking from darkness. Expect infiltration, social navigation among academy peers, and combat when your cover demands it. The setting leans into 'what if feudal structures persisted' without opening to Western influence. If you like espionage layered over swordplay and enjoy fish-out-of-water tension, this delivers both.
