The Forgotten City
A narrative RPG set in a trapped underground Roman city where one broken rule dooms everyone to death. You're stuck in a time loop, resetting each cycle to investigate why the Golden Rule—harm anyone and all turn to gold—exists and how to break it. Conversations drive progression: interrogate citizens, uncover their secrets, then use that intel in the next loop to access new areas or prevent disasters. Combat takes a backseat to deduction and persuasion. Four distinct endings hinge on which moral philosophy you embrace when solving the central mystery. The city's small but dense, with about two dozen NPCs whose stories interlock. Expect courtroom arguments, ethical puzzles, and one very talkative AI companion. Works if you prefer talking over fighting.
