The Smurfs Travel the World
A 2D platformer where two Smurfs hunt for crystal shards scattered across six continents. After breaking a teleportation crystal in Papa Smurf's lab, you hop between themed stages—forests, deserts, arctic zones—collecting fragments to reassemble it and return home. You run, jump, and dodge hazards typical of mid-90s platform games. Each continent presents different environmental obstacles and enemy types. The Master System and handheld versions add a pollution-cleanup mechanic where you clear trash from levels as you go. It's straightforward side-scrolling aimed at younger players, with colorful backdrops and simple controls. Expect light puzzle-solving around shard locations rather than complex combat. The game spans multiple regions without dwelling long in any one setting.
