Tomodachi Life is a social simulation game where you populate an island with Mii characters—either importing your existing avatars or creating new ones—then watch them live out daily routines you partly orchestrate and partly can't predict. You'll set up apartments, manage relationships, solve petty disputes, dress residents in outfits you design, and feed them meals to see their reactions. The game's defining feature is text-to-speech: type any dialogue and the system voices it in robotic cadence across seven languages, turning mundane conversations absurd. Scenarios range from helping a Mii confess romantic feelings to staging a rap battle between a scientist and a chef. There's no win state—just a sandbox for experimenting with personality combinations and seeing what chaos emerges. It's for players who enjoy low-stakes tinkering and find humor in awkward synthetic voices.
