Tony Hawk's American Wasteland is an open-world skateboarding game set across Los Angeles. You're a new skater who joins a crew at their Beverly Hills spot called Skate Ranch, running missions to scavenge parts and build up the park. The entire city connects without loading screens—you can skate from Hollywood to Santa Monica in one unbroken session. You'll switch between skateboard and BMX bike, customize your character's look, and take on tasks from crew members scattered around LA. The create-a-park mode returns, letting you design custom spots. Missions involve typical skate challenges: landing trick combos, collecting items, or helping locals with skate-related favors. Two-player co-op and competitive multiplayer modes are included. If you want a skating sandbox where exploration matters as much as landing tricks, this delivers that without constant menu interruptions.
