About
Type:Rider is a puzzle-platformer where you control two dots rolling through levels designed around the history of typography. You navigate obstacles and collect letters while each stage represents a different typeface era—from cave paintings through Gothic blackletter to modern sans-serifs. The game uses fonts as environmental themes: Garamond levels feature Renaissance-era architecture, Helvetica stages lean minimal and geometric. Progression unlocks facts about each typeface's origins and designers. It's a side-scrolling physics game with educational bent, pairing momentum-based jumping with visual design history. Works if you're curious about where fonts come from or just want platforming with an unusual aesthetic hook.
