Action-RPG where you create an original mutant character in the X-Men universe. You choose from three protagonists, each with their own backstory, then select a mutant power set that shapes your combat style throughout the game. The story, penned by X-Men: Legacy comic writer Mike Carey, follows your character's choices between siding with the X-Men or the Brotherhood during a conflict in San Francisco. Combat revolves around using your selected powers in third-person brawls against enemies. You unlock new abilities and collect X-Genes from established mutants to modify your powers. Originally released across multiple platforms in 2011, the game was pulled from sale in 2014 and physical copies were destroyed following a legal dispute over its game engine.
