Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve

Ace Combat 8 is an aerial combat game where you fly fighter jets in a campaign to reclaim an occupied nation. You're rescued by the Endurance, an aging aircraft carrier packed with refugees, after your homeland falls to invasion in 2029. The crew assigns you the callsign "Wings of Theve"—a fabricated legend meant to inspire survivors—and you fly sorties with three wingmen to push back enemy forces. Missions involve dogfights, ground strikes, and tactical choices that affect your squad. The setting is a shattered Federation of Central Usea, most of it under hostile control, with your side operating from a single battered ship. Expect arcade-style flight physics, missile lock-ons, and close-range gun runs. The story centers on carrying a false identity while actual combat skills determine whether the myth becomes real.
